Client Acquisition and Relationship Building:
- Identify and target potential clients in various industries that require shipping and logistics services.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to understand their evolving needs.
- Conduct client visits and meetings to foster trust and understanding.
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify and prioritize sales opportunities in the market.
- Collaborate with the sales team and management to align strategies with company goals.
Sales Presentations and Proposals:
- Create persuasive and customized sales presentations and proposals for potential clients.
- Present and communicate the value of our services and solutions effectively.
- Negotiate terms and contracts in line with company guidelines.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors’ activities.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and market segments.
- Provide feedback and insights to the marketing and sales teams to refine strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, including leads, opportunities, and deals.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
- Track and analyze sales data to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
Travel and Client Visits:
- Travel to meet with clients, attend industry events, and conduct sales presentations.
- Plan and manage travel schedules efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in outside sales or a similar role, preferably in the shipping and logistics industry.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to exceed sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a sales team.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and client demands.
