Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant’s menu and quality standards.
- Create and develop new menu items, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Ensure all food preparation and cooking processes adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate dish preparation and ensure timely service.
- Monitor kitchen supplies, order ingredients, and maintain inventory levels.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including proper equipment maintenance.
- Adhere to cost control measures to manage food waste and control expenses.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth communication and a seamless dining experience for guests.
- Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for special events and promotions.
Key Requirements Skills, experience and qualification
- Proven experience as a Chef in a high-end School or similar establishment.
- Culinary education or relevant certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
- Creative approach to menu development and presentation.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
