Duties and Responsibilities

• Driving a Motor vehicle as authorized
• Carrying Routine checks on the vehicles cooling, oil, electrical and brakes system, tyre pressure, etc
• Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicles system.
• Maintenance of work tickets for the vehicle assigned
• Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle.

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

• Be a Kenyan citizen
• A Valid driving licence free from any current endorsement for class (es) of vehicle(s) and officer is required to drive.
• Attended a First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one week at St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution
• Defensive driving Certificate from the Automobile Association (AA)of Kenya or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Attended a refresher course for drivers lasting not less than one (1) week within every three (3) years at Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology or any other recognized institution.
