Salary Scale: Ksh. 26,900 × 1,110 – 28,010 × 1,120 – 29,130 × 1,150 – 30,280 × 1,170 – 31,450× 1,250 – 32,700 x 1,300 – 34,000 x 1,380 – 35, 380 p.m.

Requirement for Appointment

  • Be a Citizen of Kenya;
  • Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development or any other Social Science from a recognized institution; and
  • Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Ward Administrator, the Village Administrator will be responsible for;
  • Coordinating, managing and supervising the general administrative functions in the village unit;
  • Generating proposals to assist in developing policies and plans;
  • Ensuring effective service delivery;
  • Coordinating development activities to empower the community;
  • Providing and maintaining infrastructure and facilities of public service
  • Facilitating and coordinating citizen participation in the development of policies and service delivery;
  • Providing input in organizing public participation awareness at the local level; and
  • Performing any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

  • Applications should reach the Secretary, County Public Service Board on or before 14th March, 2024;
  • Only shortlisted and successful applicants will be contacted;
  • Shortlisted candidates MUST meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on leadership and integrity and will be required to produce clearance/compliance certificates from the following agencies:
    • Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
    • Higher Education Loans Board
    • Kenya Revenue Authority
    • Credit Reference Bureau
    • Directorate of Criminal Investigation

Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce originals of their National Identity card, birth certificate, academic and professional certificates, transcripts and testimonials during the interviews;

It is a criminal offence to present fake certificates/documents;

Serving officers shall be required to avail original letters of appointment to the current substantive posts during the interviews; and

Canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification.
