  • A Storekeeper plays a crucial role in managing inventory and ensuring the smooth operation of a retail or warehouse environment. They are responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

salary;30,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of items received against invoices or packing slips.
  • Inspect deliveries for any damages or discrepancies and report them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Properly label, store, and organize inventory in designated storage areas.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including stock counts, adjustments, and transfers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder products as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Prepare and package items for shipment, ensuring proper documentation and labeling.
  • Coordinate with other departments or teams to fulfill orders or requests in a timely manner.
  • Perform regular inventory audits to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues.
  • Keep the storage area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Assist with other tasks or projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in supply chain management or relevant field.
  • 3 years experience
  • Proven experience as a storekeeper, warehouse worker, or similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols for handling hazardous materials is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
