Job Description: As a Senior Software Developer at KPN Teleradiology, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a comprehensive PACS system to enhance our teleradiology services. You will work closely with our radiologists, AI developers, and IT team to create a robust and user-friendly system that meets the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a PACS system from concept to deployment.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other stakeholders to gather and define system requirements.
- Design and implement software architecture that is scalable, secure, and efficient.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and technical guides.
- Ensure the PACS system complies with relevant healthcare standards and regulations.
- Integrate the PACS system with existing teleradiology solutions and AI diagnostic tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Ensuring software is UpToDate with latest technologies.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, promoting best practices in software development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on healthcare systems or medical imaging.
- Proven experience in developing PACS systems or similar healthcare IT solutions.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar.
- Experience with database management systems and SQL.
- Knowledge of DICOM standards and HL7 protocols.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Skills
- Experience with AI and machine learning integration.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in healthcare.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
