About the job
In this role, you will partner with Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Regional Director, Country Managers (e.g., South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya), and their cross-functional leadership teams (e.g., Marketing, Communication, Public Affairs, Cloud, Legal etc.) to drive priorities and operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional planning and strategy alignment for the entire SSA markets, with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the team (e.g., governance, meetings, information flow, tracking against scorecard).
- Develop and manage cross-functional external engagement plans with aim to build allies.
- Lead selected high-profile strategic projects in line with cross-functional objectives.
Minimum qualifications:
- Experience in strategy consulting or similar work requiring project management
- Experience working in African markets
- Ability to fluently communicate in English for cross-functional relationship management across the region
Preferred qualifications:
- Ability to drive projects in a structured manner
- Ability to work with ambiguity in fast-changing environments
- Business acumen and ability to successfully navigate and influence senior leaders
- Excellent people management skills, with the ability to work across various functions
- Excellent strategic thinking, execution, and executive communication skills
