Description
- Support the implementation of measures aimed at protecting and promoting women’s and girls’ rights in Africa
- Facilitate events for partners on human rights, providing expert input in the design of the event and drafting event reports
- Design trainings on strategic litigation on human rights, specifically women’s rights or rights of persons with disabilities
- Design advocacy campaigns on the promotion and protection of human rights, specifically women’s rights or rights of persons with disabilities
- Facilitate and design strategic meetings and workshops on the promotion and protection of women’s and girls’ rights in Africa
- Develop guidelines on implementation of continental decision/commitments/protocols relating to human rights, specifically women and girls rights. This may also include the rights of persons with disabilities in specific.
- Draft recommendations or policy briefs on the status of human rights protection and promotions in Africa
Qualifications required
- Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Human Rights, Gender or Women’s Studies, Sociology, Law, or International Relations
- Every expert with knowledge of English, C1-level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
- 2 experts with knowledge of French, C1-level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
Professional experience required
- 5 years of professional experience in the sector of human rights or women’s and/or girls’ rights promotion and protection at the regional or local level
- 4 years of professional experience working and/or consulting with or in regional or national human rights bodies or women’s rights organisations ornetworks
- 5 years of professional experience in Africa
