Job Purpose:
- Market Penetration in the defined market in East African countries through Application engineering and business development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Metallurgy / Material Science/ Ceramics )
Specific work experience, knowledge and skills required to fulfil the role:
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience
- Prior experience of working in Steel , Foundry or metallurgical companies.
- Problem solving & Decision making skills
- Work in full compliance of EHS rules, from Saint-Gobain and from customers
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Business development & sales for specified refractory products and customer contacts on regular basis.
- Application service and support for Neutral Ramming lining in Induction furnace for steel melting.
- Work with commercial team for initial penetration of the market.
- Customer support/customer visits/complains handling.
- Technical proposal preparation of a refractory lining (material and installation costs, cost calculation) as well as cooperation in concept preparation for new applications / furnaces.
- Understanding of the price positioning and other commercial terms of conditions.
- Site supervision (supervision of installation of SG refractory products delivered and processed by the customer).
- Supervision of Installation of the SG refractory products at the customer’s site
- Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations required for the activity at the respective sites.
