JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Group ICT Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for continuous management of IT network infrastructure and its security including client devices ensuring optimal uptime and business continuity via deployment and maintenance of digital infrastructure, applications, devices, and systems from security threats to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Designs and deploys functional networks – Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Wide Area Network (WAN) & Virtual Private Network (VPN);
• Leads and manages the IT network security and connectivity of the organization;
• Supports, installs, integrates, configures, maintains and upgrades corporate networks and network components (Routers, Switches & Firewalls);
• Liaises with System Administrator to maintain system infrastructure at industry standard;
• Monitors network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, good put, and latency) and test for weaknesses;
• Manages network user accounts, permissions and passwords, and Active Directory polices (Active Directory);
• Designs, implements, maintains and test backup systems and disaster recovery systems;
• Designs and executes security awareness training plan;
• Identifies and defines system security requirements;
• Updates software with the latest security patches and ensuring the proper defenses are present  for each network resource;
• Performs vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats, and  developing disaster recovery plans;
• Creates network policies and authorization roles and defends against unauthorized access, modifications, and destruction;
• Configures and supports security tools, such as firewalls, anti-virus software and Security information  and Event Management (SEIM).

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE                                                                       

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Business Information Technology from a recognized university;
• Minimum of three (3) years’ working experience;
• Professional Certification in IT; Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Network+;
• IT Security and Cybersecurity Certification;
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
