Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable IT Professional to join our dynamic team as a Coding Instructor for students in grades 1 to 8. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science and a genuine interest in teaching and inspiring young learners. You will be responsible for developing and delivering online coding lessons that are both fun and educational, helping students to develop a solid foundation in coding and computational thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver online coding lessons tailored to students in grades 1-8.
- Create engaging and age-appropriate coding projects and activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive online learning environment.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing feedback and support.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in technology and coding education.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students’ progress and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
- Experience in teaching coding or computer science to young students is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as Scratch, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for working with children.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable online teaching environment.
