Key Responsibilities:
- Contact potential clients and arrange meetings.
- Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
- Meet clients face-to-face or via phone.
- Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives.
- Increase the value of existing customers while attracting new ones.
- Find and develop new markets to improve sales.
- Develop and present quotes and proposals.
- Negotiate with stakeholders and close deals.
- Develop growth strategies and plans.
- Set and achieve goals for business development.
- Attend conferences and industry events.
- Follow industry trends locally and internationally.
- Report on successes and areas needing improvement.
- Identify and map business strengths and customer needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales marketing, business administration or related course.
- Over 10 years of experience in business development/sales with regional sales experience
- Understanding of the financial ecosystem and financial technologies in East Africa, especially in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
- Relevant experience from SW/technology companies, fintech, or financial institutions focused on digital banking or global transactions.
- Must have a previous regional responsibility in East African markets.
