- The ideal candidate for Art Director has demonstrable experience in the Creative and/or Digital Marketing space, and has worked as a team leader with a portfolio to show for his/her best achievements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with the graphic designers to assess the needs of clients or the company, formulate project strategies, and design visual elements for advertising campaigns
- Delegate responsibilities to other designers and provide directions as needed (Traffic Management)
- Collaborate with the copywriting department to generate clear and innovative ideas and concepts
- Create sketches, storyboards, and roughs to visualise ideas effectively
- Conducting research to gain a deeper understanding of brand goals, target audiences, and industry trends
- Identifying gaps and filling them through training, capacity building and suggesting better management for the Creative Department
- Troubleshooting any design, personnel, or process issues that may arise
- Identifying areas for process improvement within the design department.
Qualifications
- 3 years experience as an AD
- Experience in graphic design with a supporting portfolio
- Proficiency with graphic design softwares e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.
- Strong Interpersonal, time and project management, presentation, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to lead a team and to delegate responsibilities
