DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons and practical training in pastry and baking, including techniques, recipes, and industry standards.
- Create and update instructional materials, such as lesson plans, handouts, and multimedia resources.
- Conduct practical demonstrations and workshops to showcase advanced baking techniques.
- Evaluate student performance through assessments, practical exams, and assignments.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their skills and achieve their educational goals.
- Offer one-on-one support and mentorship to students, addressing individual learning needs and challenges.
- Assist in the design and development of new courses and programs to meet industry trends and student needs.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of curriculum content and teaching methodologies.
- Manage classroom and kitchen lab environments to ensure a safe, organized, and conducive learning atmosphere.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools.
- Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and best practices in pastry and baking.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals and organizations.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and training to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree or diploma in Pastry Arts, Baking, Culinary Arts, or a related field. Advanced certifications or credentials in pastry and baking are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pastry and baking techniques, recipes, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and technology.
