Product Planning Engineer At Isuzu East Africa (Isuzu EA) – APPLY NOW

  • We are looking for a Product Planning Engineer who will be responsible for vehicle model set up, development of vehicle specifications, reengineering vehicles to meet customer needs, Bill of Materials (BOM) management and supporting pilot production.

Reporting to Manager, Product Planning and Engineering, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining vehicle specifications in conjunction with the source Plants.
  • Maintaining vehicle engineering parts lists changes in liaison with source Plants and Manufacturing. Setting and implementing the objectives for new vehicle tests and providing feedback.
  • Vehicle Bill of Materials (BOM) management for all production models.
  • Leading root cause analysis and problem resolution of quality issues with all stakeholders. Developing and seeking approvals for engineering change requests affecting various vehicle models.
  • Championing manufacturing pilot programs, vehicle reengineering and component validations. Developing technical sales training materials and brochures for all vehicle models.

Minimum requirements are as follows:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Upper Second Class) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • KCSE Mean Grade B+.
  • Registered graduate engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
  • Five years relevant experience.
  • Strong automotive knowledge.
