Minimum Qualifications and experience:
- Certificate in food production/catering from a recognized institution.
- 3 years’ experience as a cook in a school or large institution.
- Covid 19 vaccination Certificate and relevant public health immunization.
- Health and Safety Training.
- Basic First Aid Training.
- Experience with vegetarian meals.
- Ability to observe high standards of hygiene when preparing and handling food in the kitchen.
- Ability to handle and clean up large cooking utensils.
- Good knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
- Observing Health & safety and manufacture guidelines when handling kitchen equipment.
- Good communication; able to understand verbal and written instructions.
- High level of physical fitness and good stamina.
- Quick to move around and able to multi-task.
- Ability to stand long hours.
- Good personal hygiene.
- Good timekeeping and attendance.
- A good team player.\
