Narok County Hospital Cateress Job

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ordering of daily patient food and rations
  • Receiving of diet sheets; interpreting and filing;
  • Receiving of food and ration from the hospital store; Compiling monthly consumption reports for hospital food and ration; Maintaining a monthly inventory of kitchen equipment;
  • Tasting the quality of food prepared; Participation in hospital management committees (inspection and acceptance committee, catering committee, executive expenditure committee); and Ensuring a safe and clean environment for kitchen staff

Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

  • Diploma in Catering Services/Food and Beverage Production, Sales and Service from a recognized institution; and
  • Possess a valid food handler’s medical certificate
  • At least 2 years’ working experience in a similar field
  • Certificate in computer application skills.
