Job Title: Finance Manager,

Reporting to: General Manager, 

Githunguri Dairy Farmers Co-operative Society Ltd plays a key role in marketing of its member’s milk which is processed and packed in form of pouch packed fresh milk, Tetra Classic fresh milk, lala, butter, ghee and cream under the flagship of “Fresha Dairy Products”.

Job Role

Responsible for developing and implementing sound financial policies and internal control systems in line with generally accepted accounting standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Heads the Finance & Accounts Division 
• Develops sound financial management policies, procedures and controls to ensure integrity and constituency with relevant legislative framework 
• Oversees the maintenance, preparation and updating of the books of accounts 
• Oversees timely preparation of the annual budget and budgetary control and variance analysis reports 
• Oversees timely preparation of periodic financial reports and statements 
• Oversees preparation of monthly cash flow statements and bank reconciliation statements 
• Designs accounting policies, systems and procedures in line with generally accepted accounting standards 
• Oversees the development of appropriate financial information management systems 
• Ensures timely remittance of statutory deductions and general compliance with statutory requirements 

Minimum qualifications, experience and competencies

• Must have a First Degree in Finance, Master’s Degree in either Business Administration, Finance or its equivalent from a recognized university 
• Must have at least 10 years’ managerial experience in financial management 
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA K) 
• Must be an active member of ICPAK with good standing record 
• Leadership skills 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Integrity 
• Team player
