Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following posts. Transport Department

Driver Grade 3/4 (3 positions) – UOK/ADM/2/03/23

Qualifications

Must have:-

• KCSE mean grade D + (plus) and
• A clean valid driving license class A/B/C/E with PSV
• Certificate of good conduct
• Basic first aid training
• Occupational trade test III or equivalent
• Minimum six years experience
• Motor Vehicle mechanics trade test III will be an added advantage

Duties and Responsibilities

• Check the vehicle before and related requirements before the journey
• Driving carefully , safely and courteously
• Carry authorized passengers or baggage
• Ensure safety of the vehicle and the passengers
• Clean the vehicles during and after the journey
• Observe traffic rules and regulations
• Maintain the work ticket
• Ensure compliance to statutory road requirements including licenses
• Detect and report any defect on the vehicle
• Take precautions when driving
• Fill the defects form after arriving from a journey
• Respond to emergencies
