Beacon of Hope (BOH) is a faith based Non-Governmental Organization with a mission to bring hope and catalyze sustainable transformation by uplifting the spiritual, physical, economic and social well-being of vulnerable individuals, families and communities. BOH works in six strategic areas: (a) Health Services, (b) Education & Training, (c) Youth Empowerment, (d) Social & Economic Empowerment, (e) Beacon Reaching Wide (scale up & collaboration) and (f) Institutional Strengthening.  

Responsibilities

  • Management of Clinical Service Delivery: Provide comprehensive and high-quality clinical services using established treatment protocols at all times.
  • Technical Support in attending to emergencies presenting to the clinic and recommend referrals for cases that cannot be managed. Support Project based care and treatment programs for HIV/AIDs, NCDs among other specialized clinics.
  • Support the development and implementation of Beacon of Hope’s strategic business plans for the Clinical Department.
  • Create phenomenal patient experiences, including counseling and sensitizing patients through health talks on preventive and promotive health.
  • Embrace, learn and develop in an evidence-based medical system in line with BOH Hospital protocols.
  • Prepares the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual plans and progress reports for clinical department.

Qualifications

  • BSC/higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution
  • Registered with Clinical Officers Council and have a valid practicing license
  • In depth knowledge of Adult, adolescent and children epidemiology and infectious diseases
  • Maintain a level of professional development through continuing education, quality improvement initiatives and sharing of knowledge
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills maintaining high morale among staff
  • Relevant Job Experience: At least four (4) years relevant experience in a similar position
