Assistant ECDE Teacher Job At Busia County

Pursuant to Article 235 (1) (b) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and Section 59 (1) (b), of The County Governments Act No.17, 2012, The County Public Service Board of Busia invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill vacant positions in the Department of Education and Vocational Training as follows:

ASSISTANT ECDE TEACHER III, JOB GROUP ‘F’-TWENTY(20) POSTS- V/No:35/2021

This is the entry grade for teachers with a Certificate in ECDE. A teacher at this level will work under the guidance of a more senior teacher for the purposes of professional mentoring and growth.

Responsibilities.

  • Class teaching
  • Organizing and facilitating play/learning activities for the learners
  • Caring and nurturing spiritual, moral, social, mental, physical, aesthetic and emotional growth of the learners (holistic development).
  • Managing ECDE classes and keeping professional and administrative records (schemes of work, lesson plans, daily programme of activities, attendance registers ) and ensuring learners’ safety and security.
  • Preparing and developing play/learning materials

Qualifications

Direct Appointment

For direct appointment to this grade, the candidate must be in possession of: –

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum grade D (Plain) or KCE
  • division IV at ‘O’ Level
  • Certificate in Early Childhood Development Education offered by KNEC/Ministry of Education or its approved
  • Registered by the Teachers Service Commission(TSC)
  • A Certificate in Computer Applications
  • Certificate of Good Conduct(CID)
  • Valid medical report from a registered government health facility

Mandatory Additional requirements (Chapter VI documents of the constitution of Kenya 2010)

 All applicants are expected to attach copies of the following additional documents

  • Tax Compliance Certificate
  • Clearance from HELB where necessary
  • Clearance from the Ethics and anti-corruption commission
  • Certificate of good conduct from the police
  • CRB Clearance Certificate
